Semi-Final Of The Cup

On Tuesday 7th June 2016, our Primary 6 football team played against Cramond Primary in the Semi Final of the School Board Cup. The match was at Gyle Park and kicked off at 6:30pm – there was quite a crowd of supporters there to cheer on our boys!

The match got off to a great start and our P6 team played well but sadly lost 5-1. The parents, staff and other pupils watching, were very proud of our Primary 6 boys who have worked incredibly hard all season to reach the later stages in this competition. Super effort boys and we look forward to watching you as a team again next season!

Games @ The Hub 2016!

Houston… P6 have great news to share!

In May, Primary 6 wowed everybody with two performances of their ‘Spectacular Space’ assembly – first to the whole school and then to their parents and carers. It all started with information about the Space race between the Russians and the Americans. We then found out about the first dog that went into space as well as a big feature about the planets within our solar system. If that wasn’t enough… there was also an alien invasion in between as well as renditions of ‘Space Oddity’ and ‘Reach’.

The assembly then culminated in an exclusive interview with Tim Peake up in the International Space Station! “Ground Control to Major Peake!”

Cycle of Life

Primary 6 visited Edinburgh Zoo this week as we begin our ‘Cycle of Life’ topic. We found out all about the life cycles of penguins, monkeys, chimpanzees and hippopotamuses as we visited each of the animals. Further this term we will begin talking about human life cycles.

  • Looking at coins 2000 years old

Reading Buddies

This week, Primary 6 found out that they were getting some Primary 3 reading buddies.

They were very excited about listening to and reading some of their favourite stories to them.

Despite the wet weather, Primary 6 enjoyed i-bike training in the playground.

They practised key skills on how to cycle safely.
