It was a day of celebration as we officially unveiled Ms Mathieson’s memorial bench, revamped garden area and music wall. We were delighted to be joined by her cousin, Elaine, and close friend, Jane, to help us cut the ribbon.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped to play a part in bringing this all together. There’s too many people to name but there’s the marathon runners, the fundraisers, the plant buyers, the gardeners, the painters and the music makers!
We raised so much money that over £350 is also going to the Marie Curie charity.
Some P6 children who were in Ms Mathieson’s final class at CK also did a wonderful job delivering her poem from the new bench. We then ended the ceremony with a minutes applause and a some people playing ‘music’ on the new wall – a fitting tribute! ❤️
