This week we had a special visitor named Dawn from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. She was here to award Carrick Knowe with their bronze award for bee-ing a bee friendly school. We showed her our new bee friendly plant zone in the allotment and other areas in the school that are friendly for bees. We were the first school in the whole of the UK to apply and get this award. Well done to all those involved and watch this space for more bee friendly learning activities around the school.
