Shapes all around.
Primary 1 had a focus on 2D shape for Maths week, we learned that these shapes are flat and we can identify them by their different features such as corners and edges.
On Monday we had fun exploring and identifying these shapes inside our classroom.

On Tuesday we got creative and used our problem solving skills to make different shapes with loose parts. We also enjoyed making shape paint patterns.

On Wednesday we had fun taking part in the school Maths Hunt, we had to find pictures hidden in our playground and count them and match them to the answer.

On Thursday to round off our Maths week we went out and looked for shapes in the environment, we worked with a partner to spot them and using the I-pad take photos of what we found.

Primary 1 are now expert shape spotters, what can you spot on your way to and from school?
