Ben: “We made volcanoes and made them erupt!”
As part of our ‘Natural Disasters’ topic, we have been learning all about earthquakes and volcanoes in P7.
Last week P7A were very keen to build their own volcanoes so we went outside and made use of all the outdoor materials we have (as well as a bit of tissue paper) to make them.
Callum: “We used classic household items to make our volcanoes erupt.”
Ruben: “We all tried different ways to erupt them by putting the items in the volcano in a different order.”
Pirbab: “One of the ways was keeping the lid on the bottle to show a shielded volcano.”
Most of the children have got videos on their own iPads however here’s a couple we put together on the class iPad – alongside ‘Bastille – Pompeii’ – very appropriate!
