Thank you for joining us for the Transition from Nursery to Primary 1 over the last few weeks and bearing with us whilst dates changed. We look forward to seeing you all in August.

Week 6 and 7
It has been such an amazing week welcoming the new P1s in to school to meet the teachers and also having a great time playing with the P6 ‘Buddies’. We played games, drew pictures, built models and completed assault courses. We hope you enjoy the pictures :

Week 3, 4 and 5
Over the last few weeks we have been really busy with our Transition activities. These have included:
- Making a Mind Map of ‘What we want to know about school?’
- Making Dens with our friends, using our teamwork skills
- Doing activities using our senses to observe change and transition
- Making a graph of the pets we would like
- Creating our own junk model pets
- Designing our own picnic plate
………….AND LOTS MORE!!!
Bookworm Transition Activities
This week the Nursery have enjoyed making a wormery and going on a walk to look for different pets. Unfortunately they only saw a dog and a crow but loved looking at all the ornaments in peoples gardens

This week the children in Carrick Knowe Nursery have enjoyed reading the Edinburgh Transition book , The Bookworm. See below for a video of the author reading the story
We have also enjoyed some activities in Nursery. This included making our own pets out of junk . There were lots of really creative and interesting pets……
