Religious Observance
At Carrick Knowe, we are proud to be a Rights Respecting School and we regularly celebrate diversity and enjoy learning about many other World Religions, cultures and beliefs.
Our school is supported by our Chaplains, Fiona Mathieson (Carrick Knowe Church) and Jamie Griggs (St Anne’s Church), who play a big part of our Wider Community. They often join us for events such as Harvest and our Remembrance Assembly as well as inviting the whole school to join them at their churches at the end of each term. In addition, they also proudly hold a Community Concert each year in which our pupils showcase their talents for members of the local community.
Parents who wish to exercise their right to withdraw their child from religious observance should contact the school, in writing, and alternative arrangements will be made in collaboration with parents.
