This week, we have been given out our Read, Write, Count bags. They were full of goodies, including 2 story books, an activity booklet full of fun things to do, a pack of cards that are two games, a pencil and tangram puzzle. WOW!

We read both stories, ‘The Dragon who Didn’t Like Fire’ and ‘Where has all the cake gone?’ and really enjoyed both of them.
We had three tasks to choose from and had a great time with the adults. In fact, some of the mums and dads enjoyed it even more than we did! We decorated cakes, made parachutes and flew paper aeroplanes! We even got the throw them at Mrs Iley!

This week we also had a visit from an actual author! Chris Maxwell came in to P2 to read us her story about her cat, who is called Luna. The story is called ‘Luna’s First Garden Adventure’ and in it Luna gets scared and meets a cat who helps her to breathe and stay calm. Chris taught us 2 ways to breathe and stay calm. If you are feeling a bit stressed out, ask P2B to show you how to use your breathing to help.

We tried it out and felt very chilled and calm. We are going to have a go at writing our own cat and dog adventures… watch this space!
