This week’s most exciting news is that the main entrance to school has been transformed, thanks to the wonderful ‘Wall Art Installation’ which depicts our CKPS values. WOW! It’s really fantastic – as well as brightening up the school’s entrance, it’s a fabulous way of reminding all of us of those important values and their definitions …

Hopefully, the mural (as above) will make everyone who enters or leaves the building via the main entrance pause for a moment – perhaps they will take away with them some of those inspiring thoughts. Soon after she joined CKPS as our Head Teacher, I remember when Mrs Canning began helping pupils, staff, parents and carers to work together to choose which values would be the best for CKPS. Since then, these four words and their definitions have become embedded in our attitudes and behaviours, both in and out of school …

For those who don’t know this, it was a former P6 pupil who, a few years ago, won the competition to design an image depicting our four CKPS Values (as above).
Other highlights this past week: it’s hard to believe it but … there are just 3 weeks to go before the end of yet another school year! So … we have been reflecting on some of this past session’s learning in various ways, including putting on a puppet show and doing some creative crafting …
One last highlight! … I mustn’t forget to mention that Fred Frog and I really enjoyed working with some of our keen, hard-working Primary 2 pupils. They did so well ‘showing off’ their reading and spelling skills. ‘Great 👍 Job’ everyone! Mrs Dale
