Primary 1 have taken part in many autumn activities recently. We printed with numbers and used autumn colours, created leaf prints, made scented playdough with different spices, and used conkers, leaves and pine cones to create models. We made pumpkin soup in the mud kitchen, which lead us to reading the story Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper, and making our very own Pumpkin Soup. We enjoyed helping to peel the pumpkin, and carrots and cutting up the vegetables. Everyone tried the soup and most of us enjoyed it. We explored Diwali by watching a video about what Diwali is for, and how it is celebrated, and then made Rangoli patterns in shaving foam, and with coloured rice.
