Primary 2 went on an adventure to Craigmillar Castle. On our bus ride towards the castle we could see towers and battlements, even before we got outside! Mr Brewer and Mrs Mac were our tour guides around the castle.
We looked all around the castle and climbed lots and lots and lots of stairs! We went all the way to the top where it was quite windy! There was a great view, we could even see Edinburgh Castle in the distance.
We saw lots of different rooms in the castle, including the dungeon. We put on our best sad faces in the dungeon!
One thing that we liked was the fireplaces, they were so big we could all fit inside!
We toured the castle and also got a chance to look at some artefacts. The armour was our favourite!
We loved visiting the castle but decided we would not like to live during medieval times!
