As we come to the end of Term 2 , we have had lots of going on over the last few weeks:

It was wonderful to welcome so many parents and carers to our Families Day. The children loved the opportunity to share what they had been learning about all the different cultures in our Nursery. We were so lucky to taste wonderful dishes from around the world and show-off lots of traditional outfits.

The children have been very busy making cards, decorations, calendars and decorating our trees for Christmas. We also held our Christmas lunch on Thursday 11th Dec. Finally the children used their best singing voices during our Family Sing-A-Long. We hope everyone enjoyed listening to our Christmas songs

Over the last few weeks, some children have been out and about in the community. Mrs Martin took a group of children to visit some charity shops to buy new accessories for our home corner. We were able to use money to pay for our items. Also, a group of children visited the local care home to sing some Christmas songs. The residents were delighted to see them.

Nursery will close at normal time on Friday 19th December and re-open for all on Tuesday 6th January

We hope all our families have a lovely holiday and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Happy Easter from everyone at Carrick Knowe! We return to school on Tuesday 21st April.
