Out and About

This term the children have enjoyed regular visits to Manor Grange Care Home, Corstorphine Library and Union Park. Our Pre-school children also had the opportunity to attend a wonderful morning at Usher Hall where they enjoyed a performance of ‘Yoyo and The Big Sleepover’ by Scotland’s National Orchestra (RSNO)

World Book Day

At the beginning of March we had fun dressing up as our favourite book characters. We were also learning about many Traditional Tales and Classic Stories such Gingerbread Man, Three Little Pigs and The Tiger Who Came To Tea.

Assault Course

Last week, we had great fun in the gym hall as we took part in our sponsored Assault Course. Big Thanks to everyone who sponsored us. We are looking forward to buying new toys and resources with the money.

Reminders

Toys/Items From Home

Recently we have seen an increase in the number of toys brought into Nursery from home. We ask that items are kept at home to ensure things do not get lost or broken whilst in Nursery.

Nursery-P1 Transition

We are starting to organise our Transition Events for our pre-school children. Any child who is going to Carrick Knowe School in August should have received an email with information last week. Please let us know if you did not receive this

Holiday

Nursery will close on Thursday 2nd April at 3pm for the Spring Holiday. We re-open on Tuesday 21st April at normal time.

We hope you all have a lovely holiday

Happy Easter from everyone at Carrick Knowe! We return to school on Tuesday 21st April.
