Dear Parents and Carers,
You will be aware that threatening messages were sent to schools across the UK, by email, this morning.
Immediate action was taken with relevant policies followed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all who were in our schools and settings. Please see the News Release below, from Police Scotland, which confirms that these messages are being treated as a hoax and continue to be investigated.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are aware of threatening messages being sent to a number of schools across Scotland. These are being treated as a hoax and officers are investigating.”
I should like to confirm that all schools and settings will be open as usual tomorrow, Tuesday 20th October.
