This chilly week we wondered if there might be some SNOW! Some of us had fun working with a partner to describe how SNOW might look, feel and sound; we recorded our ideas using a ‘MIND MAP’:

We then collaborated as a group and shared our interesting ideas to write a poem about SNOW…. We even managed to include some RHYMING WORDS! …
🌨️The snow, the snow, the snow!❄️
When I go out in the freezing cold SNOW, my Mum sees my cold cheeks and red nose starting to GLOW!
I hear my wellies going crunch, crunch, crunch, in the fluffy, powdery, cool white snow!
It feels fun to play in the magical snow, building a snowman ☃️ ; how long will he STAY? Quick! Let’s give him a carrot 🥕 nose before he melts AWAY!
I felt amazing when I flew down the hill on my sledge 🛷 because there was not much friction!
My feet 👣 felt cold and wet inside my wellies, so it was time to go inside and warm up drinking yummy hot chocolate ☕️.
I took off my cosy scarf 🧣 and icy gloves 🧤 and watched the soft, silent snowflakes ❄️ falling gently from the sky to the slushy ground.
Written by a FAN – TAS – TIC TEAM of CKPS poets: Kate, Koby, Maja, Paige, Saorise and Vismaya, with just a little help and encouragement from Fred Frog! 🐸
Some of our favourite moments this week involved using our folding and cutting skills to make our very own pretty snowflakes, and then watching them fall silently to the floor …

Now, watch our mini slideshow to find out who’s been rewarded this week, and for what! …
Enjoy the first weekend of DECEMBER before it will be …

… again! Well done to those of you who used your photo editing skills to create these decorated letters! 👏 Mrs Dale
