P4 in action in the gym
Over the last few weeks, we have been practising a variety of movements in gymnastics. We have learned how to roll, like a pencil, like a teddy bear, forwards and tucked. We have been balancing on large areas of our bodies, like tummies and shoulders as well as small areas such as hands, feet and even knees! We have ‘travelled’ along mats and low benches by crab walking, cartwheeling etc. We have learned to jump effectively, eyes forward and including elements such as tuck or straddle. We are ready to put together short routines with all these moves included. Here are some action shots.

Writing in P4A
To help us become the character of Iona in our adventure stories, we made necklaces similar to the one she wears. While wearing our necklaces we decided what special powers the necklaces would have that would help us to develop the action in our stories. Everyone had some amazing ideas.

Trip to Heriot Watt
Primary four went on a trip to Herriot Watt this week. The children had created design ideas for the students at the University – showing how they could see technology being used in the future. The students then took these ideas and ‘brought them to life’ and shared these with the children. The children also got to meet two of the universities robots- which they absolutely loved.
