We discovered that we can read and spell HARD WORDS!
We used some interesting WOW words (adjectives) too, including preCIOUS and scrumpTIOUS in our writing – now scroll through the slideshow to find out what we said about Tab and her missing kitten! …
Some of us clapped the syllables, and then we ‘finger spelled’ the DAYS OF THE WEEK before reminding ourselves of how to spell them; we used our sound charts to help us to check our work:

Seedlings update! WOW! Our bean and sunflower seedlings grew A LOT in just 4 days! …



The MONTH of MAY is here already! Following this past week’s sometimes foggy weather conditions, let’s hope more SPRING-like days will be back again soon. What a difference to this recent view of Carrick Knowe Avenue when I was en route to CKPS …


We also had some windy weather which created cherry blossom confetti and pretty pink ‘rugs’ on the ground! Meanwhile, out at the allotment we noticed lots of pretty SPRING blossom on our apple trees so we’re looking forward to some tasty apples when AUTUMN comes! …









Some of us did a great job cutting the dead heads off our daffodils. While doing this, we noticed a clump of pretty bluebells nearby, as well as interesting fungi on the wood pile.
