For P5, spelling was all about SILENT LETTERS! … as well as learning to spell the days of the week … scroll through the slideshow to admire our spelling and handwriting! …
A few P6 pupils were learning to read and spell words with the orange ‘au’ sound; one of them created and then played their own matching pairs game – this kind of literacy game helps improve memory as well as reading and spelling, while at the same time having some fun …





Some P7 pupils continued to read and enjoy the true story about the first people who tried to conquer Everest, the world’s highest mountain. They then added details to their Mind Maps, thus learning skills to summarise and remember what they had read, in words as well as in pictures … scroll through the slideshow below …
Meanwhile, Fred Frog has been ‘celebrating success’ with his P3 friends. They’ve made so much progress over the past school year, in school, at home and elsewhere …




ALLOTMENT UPDATE
What fantastic TEAM WORK! We were busy weeding as well as cutting off the last few dead heads of the daffodils which have finished flowering for another year; now we can enjoy the rather tall purple and white allium flowers for a while – the bees 🐝 💛 these! …








We also planted our bean seedlings as well as some more vegetable seeds – radish, beetroot and chard. Teamwork Tina says: “Now we have to be patient and hope that the seeds germinate and the seedlings survive and thrive.”
