LOOKING AFTER PETS
P4 have had a great week with lots of furry friends visiting our classroom. We have been learning about what a Pet needs to be happy and healthy. We had a visit from Archie the Dog, Katie the Gerbil, Moon the Guinea Pig and Scout the Dog. We learned all about what these different pets need and about some of the things the pets want in life that are enjoyed as occasional treats.
BEAN PLANTING
We have also been investigating what plants need to grow strong and healthy. We watched a short video and in groups wrote a set of instructions on ‘How to Grow a Healthy Plant’.
We then planted beans in plastic cups. Individually, we made keynote presentations giving step by step instructions on how to do this successfully. We learned many knew ICT skills such as, changing the font, the colour and size of lettering, inserting images, and using transitions.
