It has been wonderful to welcome back all of our Primary 3 pupils and some new additions to the year group. We have had a fun couple of weeks getting to know each other and have spent time getting into the new routines of life in Primary 3. Many things are similar to last year but the biggest change is that lunch time and the end of the day are a little later (so expect some tired children whilst we all adjust!) but the children have taken it all in their stride.

We have been busy creating our class charters by thinking about the rights and responsibilities that we share within school.
We have also been thinking about our new interdisciplinary learning context “The Puppet Theatre”. During this project we will be looking at and creating different types of puppets, retelling traditional tales and developing our drama skills.

This week, we also took a trip to the Edinburgh International Book Festival to see Joseph Coelho, a famous writer and poet. Inspired by some of his poetry, we created our own art work and writing…
.

We have had a super start to Primary 3 and know that this super attitude and mindset willo make for a great year ahead. Lots of good time spent getting to know friends.
