This morning, pupils in P3B picked the school cooking apples. They placed them carefully in a box, so the fruit wasn’t bruised. After school, I delivered them to Murrayside Care Home. Staff were very pleased to receive them, especially as our fruit and vegetables are grown without fertilisers and pesticides, making them organic. Joseph, the chef says he might make apple pies or apples crumbles for the residents. Gemma, the activities co-ordinator, is going to send the children a photo of the finished cooked pudding.
