In P3 we have started the term with a focus on birds in our outdoor learning. Everyone has been working hard to learn to identify local bird species, I’ve been impressed by everyone’s efforts and by lots of people great bird knowledge! We’ve spent time exploring the school grounds to see if our school is a good habitat for birds during the winter, taking part in communication games and activities and we’ve been working with partners to build a birds nest in a STEM challenge. At first lots of the P3s found the nest challenge quite tricky, they had to make a nest in a tree which was secure, could hold 5 pine cones and was camouflaged. With lots of perseverance and teamwork everyone successfully made a nest, I was so impressed by the hard work, positive attitudes and creativity on display.
