In January and the start of February we looked at lots of things to do with Scotland. We learned our Scot’s poems and did a great job. Well done to our finalists and ultimate winner – great job!
We we’re great at some Scottish ceilidh dances and we even shared them with a P3 class last week.
We made some fabulous Scottish inspired art work and it is now brightening up our stair.
We have now started looking at our new topic – comparing our local area with another area of Scotland. We are starting with becoming familiar with Scottish towns and cities, mountains and rivers. We will be looking at Shetland and comparing what life in Shetland is like compared to life in Edinburgh. We will also look at how the land is used in both places. We have already seem quite a difference when we looked at Google Earth! Unfortunately we can’t have a class trip to Shetland but we are looking forward to going into Edinburgh for a trip next month.
