We could not have had better weather for our trip out to Craigie’s Farm! It was brilliant to explore the farm in the sunny weather. This term we are learning about planting, growing and looking after living things. As part of our visit we saw lots of the crops which are grown at the farm as well as understanding what the farmers have to do to get the best harvest. We saw strawberries and raspberries all being grown in poly tunnels.
We had guided animal talk where we got to see the ewes and lambs in their field. We learned about what animals need to eat and why and when the sheep get sheared. We saw 3 highland coos in their field and then we went to see the goats and the ducks. Everyone was responsible and respectful and were great representatives of the school. Well done P1!
