We have only been in school for a few weeks but we have done lots of things and been to lots of parts of the school.

We are very proud of how the children have settled in, made new friends and learned about lots of different places in the school. We’ve been in our classrooms and P1 outside classroom, the playground, the hall for PE and assembly, the lunch hall and the allotment to pick apples!

We met our P7 buddies, which was the best part of P1 so far. They helped us to pick an apple from the allotment that we washed and ate back in class. We love playing and doing things with them and we hope to see them soon!

P1 also taught ‘the cool’ P7s how to sing our number song which we managed to get on video below – “Zero, Zero, Super Hero!”

This week, both P1 classes went exploring in the woods together. We found all sorts of creatures, made imaginary campfires and wrote in the mud with sticks.

We have really enjoyed getting to know our new classmates and playing together. We think that P1 is going to be great!

Happy Easter from everyone at Carrick Knowe! We return to school on Tuesday 21st April.
