TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More! β¦
Fred Frog and his P3 friends were excited to have their Mums and/or Gran at one of their lessons this week – MANY THANKS for taking the time to come along to join us β¦

Our SWAP card games are very popular – theyβre a great way to reinforce our reading skills and spelling patterns; most recently P4 used a game with a focus on these graphemes: er/better letter, ir/whirl and twirl, ur/nurse with a purse, ear/what have you heard? So, four different graphemes or ways to spell and write words, with the same one phoneme – the sound we hear! β¦

And P6 were improving their knowledge of soft and hard g words, as well as magic i-e words, some of which you can see in the second photo above.
Meanwhile, in P5 we enjoyed reading the last chapter of our book called Thin Ice by Chris Powling; several of us are making good progress with our Toe by Toe and common words reading work, thanks to the fantastic help from our PSAs, as well as our own efforts and hard work β¦

Some of us have been using different ways to reflect on our learning and to develop our Growth Mindsets β¦

The first photograph below was taken in the SPRING of this year; now the beautiful cherry blossom trees in Carrick Knowe Avenue, past which I cycle most days on my way to CKPS, are looking very AUTUMNAL as you will see in the second photograph β¦

SEASONS come and SEASONS go β¦ each of them has something special to offer! Although I donβt look forward to chilly, dark WINTER days, Iβm sure I will admire these same trees one day in the not too distant future when they show off their bare branches against a bright blue sky! Bye π for now! Mrs Dale
