… for Skye the Scarecrow! Recently we took Skye inside and placed her on the operating table! We discovered she had a broken arm, so before we could dress her again, we wrote a letter to Mr Millar, asking for his help to repair the two poles which are her skeleton ! …






There was rather a lot of rain 🌧️ last week so we were lucky that there was one day when the sun ☀️ shone long enough for us to rescue Skye from her allotment bed. We noticed many signs of AUTUMN 🍂 around us, including mushrooms 🍄🟫 and the colourful leaves of the cherry blossom trees which now make a gorgeous ‘carpet’ on the grass …




Can you believe it?! … We’re half way through the 11th month of the year so before we know it …

… will arrive, after which it will no longer be 2025 but time for another New Year, 2026! Our P7 buddies did a GREAT JOB helping their P3 ASL buddies to recite the months of the year and to put them in the correct order as we began to prepare some calendars for 2026! …







Some of us in P4 and P5 have been talking about which months of the year belong to which season and chatting with a partner about which season we like best and why. We plan to practise our handwriting skills before adding some information about the months and seasons to our calendars …

Oh! …. And we must change our classroom sign soon from: ‘Autumn is here’ to ‘Winter is coming’, now that most of the leaves have been blown off the trees and we can see the attractive shapes of their bare branches, and now that it has become such a lot colder. Brrr 🥶! Wrap up warm when you go out and about! Don’t forget to bring your coats with you when you come to school! Kwaheri ya kuonana! – as my friends in Kenya might say!
