This week is Book Week Scotland and to celebrate, we visited our local library. Even though it was a rainy day, the library was warm and welcoming. We learned a bit about how the library works and that you can borrow up to 12 books at one time!

One of the librarians read us a great book called ‘Barbara Throws a Wobbler’ and we talked about the different emotions we might feel. We drew people who could be kind and help us with our emotions.

All of our kind people were added onto the Wobbler until it was almost gone!

We then had a good look at some of the thousands of book they have in the library!

If you don’t have a library card, then we’d encourage you to get one. As well as borrowing books, we learned that there are lots of fun things happening in the library, including Lego and craft sessions. Here we are, loving all the books!

This week, we also came home with our bags from the Scottish Book Trust. The books and activities look great! We do hope you enjoying reading and learning together.

P1 love books! 📚😍
