This week P5 have been learning about how we hear sounds and how animals use sound to communicate.
We learned about sound vibrations and how molecules vibrate and make sound waves. We finished off the week with some experiments. We tried to find out if sound travels faster through solids, liquids or gases. We researched about different animals and how they communicate. We also made our own instruments with straws and tried to find out if the sound gets higher or lower if the straw is short. Mr Morley came up to join in on the fun as I think he could hear us downstairs!

We also made lots of music this week since we were thinking about sound. We played on glockenspiels and we made our own music on the Ipads on Garage Band.

It has been a great week again in Primary 5 doing lots of Super Science!
