This week we have rounded off our Science topic by sharing some of what we have learned over the last few weeks with the Primary 3 classes. The children did really well making their Keynote presentations, making sure that they were colourful, had easy to read facts and some interesting pictures. They did really well and the P3 classes (and teachers) really enjoyed seeing them.

We have also rounded off our Addition and subtraction unit of work by designing and making a board game. We have worked hard with our Talk partners to come up with a theme or design and what questions we would include in our game. It is going to be hard to choose which ones we will get laminated so we can play them in class.

We have been working hard on some art inspired by the American artist and sculptor Charles McGee. We focused on line, pattern and contrast and you might agree that our 3D paper sculptures are very impressive!

There was lots of excitement on Wednesday when our letters arrived back from our friends in Shetland! We really enjoyed reading them and we are deciding what we are going to do next term – writing more letters to them and maybe making up a PowerPoint presentation all about our school. We have already had some interesting discussions about life on Shetland compared to life in Edinburgh!

We have had a great term in P5 and we are looking forward to lots more fun after a well deserved week off! Well done P5, there has been LOTS of great learning going on this term.
