Junior Cop
This term we have started a 6 week programme of lessons with the Community Police, Pc Fulton has been delivering lessons so far we learned about; the role of the police, anti social behaviour and alcohol, she has been teaching us about being responsible.
This week she brought in beer google for us to try. It was very difficult to see and walk properly, we learned about making sensible choices in the future

Art Around the World
This term our context for learning is to compare Scotland to another country, we have chosen our own country to research each week we are adding to our presentations. As part of this we have been learning some dance styles from our chosen countries, so far we have done Samba from Brazil and Bollywood from India. We have also had an art focus and looked at Songlines map art from Australia and Dali’s Surrealism style from Spain.

Influenced by a Traitors task this week we did an Art in Action task- where we brought art to life. We were in teams, half of us in one room with lots of art pictures from around the world, the other half of our team had one of the pictures to recreate, take a photo of it and airdrop to their team to identify and match the actual artwork, then we swapped over.
Can you guess what the groups are representing?

Right’s Rhymes
As part of our work with the Nursery this term we were tasked with creating a Right’s Rhyme to teach the Nursery children about the importance of children’s rights and identified some key ones we wanted our rhymes to include. We choose a Nursery rhyme tune to help the children learn it and added in actions. All the groups were successful and should be very proud of their efforts.
